Within our fellowship we understand our Christian Life is a journey. There's a starting point and there's a goal to press toward. Just like so many things in life, we grow toward maturity and enjoy fulfillment in life. And, just like trusting Christ, our spiritual life will be determined by the decisions we make.
True biblical spirituality does not come from obeying a bunch of do's and don'ts, for we are saved by grace and discipled by grace. Our Heavenly Father desires that we grow through a loving relationship with His Son Christ Jesus.
The spiritual life is to be enjoyed, not endured. It is a daily walk with our loving Savior. It is not a duty we must fulfill, but rather a personal relationship we are privileged to share.
The key to true discipleship and a deeper spiritual life is abiding in Christ. It is not keeping all the rules. It is allowing the Lord to live His life in and through us.
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me," Galatians 2:20.
